Hailing from a lineage of hardworking individuals, John's background in forestry and his involvement in the historic Tokaanu Power Scheme project have honed his understanding of the land and its resources. His dedication to supporting the community and local marae is deeply ingrained in his values.

As a family man and cherished "koro" to his six mokopuna, John embodies wisdom and warmth, excelling in connecting with people of all ages through his engaging personality and storytelling skills.
